Emotional Support for Children
Children may experience a wide range of social and emotional difficulties which manifest themselves in many ways. These may include becoming withdrawn or isolated, as well as displaying challenging behaviour or showing signs of anxiousness.
We have clear processes to support children with social and emotional needs. Staff work together to support children in class and teaching assistants may deliver support on a one to one or group basis, for example following a program that develops social skills.
We have significantly invested in pupil well-being, emotional support and therapeutic approaches. We offer individual ELSA Therapy sessions and also have access to a number of agencies, whom we can approach when we require more specialist support for our children. ·
