Public Sector Equality Duty

The first line of our school Vision Statement is: Everyone is welcome here.

Send CofE serves a diverse wider community within Send, Ripley, Old Woking, Clandon and the surrounding areas. We are a Church of England school, but we welcome children and families from all faith traditions and none. Our community is united in wanting to deliver the very best educational outcomes for each and every child in our care.

We recognise the range of rich cultural experiences of our families and staff, and want our school community to reflect and build on this together. We hope to do this in different ways.

  • We are dedicated to working towards inclusivity across the school
  • We will be carefully considering the 9 protected characteristics below, enshrined in the Equalities Act 2010, to ensure that whatever we do will have no negative impact on any individual.
    • age
    • disability
    • gender reassignment
    • marriage and civil partnership
    • pregnancy and maternity
    • race
    • religion or belief
    • sex
