Keeping Children Safe in School
Send C of E Primary School is committed to ensuring the children within our community are safe and happy individuals. No child should suffer harm, either at home or at school. Everyone who works in or visits our school has a responsibility to make sure that all our young people are safe.
To ensure our school is safe…
- We have a code of conduct for staff and visitors which must be adhered to.
- We have staff who are trained in child protection and safeguarding and safer recruitment.
- We have a Designated Safeguarding Team who deal with any concerns about children and clear procedures that are followed.
- All staff have regular safeguarding training. Safeguarding issues are discussed regularly at staff meetings, senior leadership meetings, designated safeguarding meetings and governor's meetings. Safeguarding issues are written into our curriculum so that children can be taught how to stay safe in a range of contexts.
- We have a robust safeguarding policy and a range of school safeguarding procedures, which are regularly reviewed and updated. You can download a copy of all the relevant policies below. Please ask at the school office if you would like a printed copy or a large print version of these.
